Many DO matriculants are averaging in the mid 3.x, depending on the program. Every year it gets more competitive and comparable to MD. I have +1000 hours of volunteering and +1000 hours working in healthcare settings. It’s pretty rural. There is some shopping and places to eat, but it is small. The nearest city is about 2 hrs away (and so is the airport).
